Addiction: Addiction is more politically correctly called drug diversion. Any use of a medication that is sedative, analgesic or has depressive or stimulating brain effects, if used without proper indication may be called addiction. Doing unnatural activities to gain a drug is also addiction (taking a gun to doctors office, stealing drugs etc)
