Treatable yes: Mac deg is treatable but not curable. Once diagnosed it is a chronic condition that does not go away. Treatment is aimed at prevention of further damage, whether early on with vitamins, or in active later phases with different injections. It needs to be continually monitored by a qualified eye physician. Also once diagnosed, can be monitored for change at home with an amsler grid.
