Tonsillitis : This is an inflammation of the tonsil tissue, which can be either an acute or chronic process. Most of the time, it is caused by infection. In the acute phase, most cases of tonsillitis are viral. Once the problem extends beyond 10 days, it typically becomes a bacterial infection.
