Frontotemporal: Pick disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with dementia associated with frontotemporal areas of the brain being affected; in contrast, Alzheimer disease, typically is associated with entorhinal cortex/hippocampal involvement. The clinical syndromes are somewhat different, with Pick Disease often presenting with behavioral changes, while Alzheimer dementia starts with memory changes.
