Hodgkin's lymphoma: Hodgkin('s) lymphoma (previously known as hodgkin's disease) was named after thomas hodgkin, who first described it in 1832. It is a cancer of the lymph nodes and lymphoid organs with profliferation of multinucleated reed–sternberg cells. There are multiple subtypes. Treatment depends on stage of the disease.

A type of lymphoma: It is a malignant (cancerous) proliferation of lymphocytes with unique biological, prognostic and diagnostic features. It involves mostly lymph nodes and it may be treated and cured with the use of chemotherapy, radiation or a combination of both. It is considered a lymphoma with excellent long term prognosis and high cure rates.
