Chronic pain: classic definition is pain older than 6 months. More recent definitions: Pain beyond the normal healing period, pain associated with psychological impact. Any pain that started as acute after and injury to surgery, but continues beyond the healing period is termed chronic.

I want to the er last night with back pain they did a x-ray and sent me home b4 the x-rays came back. I got the results on my portal its say Superior endplate compression deformities at T12 and L1, uncertain chronicity. What dose this mean?
