High BP defined: The healthiest BP is when it is ≤ 119.9/79.9 when taken correctly (almost never done correctly) with an accurate BP device (almost never checked for accuracy in a Dr office). Auscultation is still the gold standard. So rest 5 min in a chair, feet uncrossed on floor, take 3 readings at 3 different visits. Evidence is firm: when BP igreater than 140/90 and lowered one lives longer and healthier.
