A member asked:

A couple inches above my knee is a bulge, that has grown the past few months. it doesn't hurt but is now red and is warm to the touch. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inflammation: Redness and tenderness is indicative of inflammation and probable infection which has complicated a preexisting lump. This lump may be a cyst, ingrown hair or bony growth. In any case you must be examined by a physician for diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime apply warm soaks until your examination.
