Depends: The rubella blood test is checking to see if you are immune to the rubella virus. Rubella, also known as german measles, can cause problems for the baby if the mom gets it while pregnant. If igg is positive then she is immune and she doesn't need to worry about german measles. If negative she needs to avoid sick people with rash, and get immunized after delivery.
