Symptoms of: cryptosporidiosis generally begin 2-10 days after becoming infected with the parasite. It is found in soil, food, water or surfaces that have been contaminated with infected feces. Diagnosis is made by examination of stool samples. If crypto is confirmed, most people will recover without treatment. OTC anti-diarrheal medicine or Nitazoxanide may help after consultation with health care provider.

Cryptosporidiosis: is usually treated with hydration. Sometimes anti-diarrheal meds are used or even Nitazoxanide.
