Lumbar radiculopathy: Hi! kidney pain can mimic pain from the nerves that exit the spine; one difference is that pain from the nerves can radiate into the leg(s). Inflammation of these nerves is caused "sciatica" or "lumbar radiculopathy". These symptoms are often evaluated with a urine analysis and a CT scan or MRI.
