Check left kidney: It depends. One kidney is usually adequate to maintain normal function, but you need to have kidney tests done to find out. If you have the same disease in your remaining kidney that caused you to lose the right kidney, then you need to know that and address the problem. Ask your doctor or health care facility to check your kidney function. Good luck
