ADHD Meds: Other class to consider are the methylphenidate ones. Caution that you make sure MD is very thorough and methodical. Some of the foremost authorities suggest that maybe up to 50% of people need doses above or below FDA standards and medication optimizing is key. Make sure your MD is a specialist. Ritalin/Concerta: ADHD meds fall into two categories, stimulants and non-stimulants. Strattera is an example of a non-stimulant. Within the stimulant category there are Adderall type meds and Ritalin type meds. Sometimes one type of stimulant works much better for someone than a different type. Vyvanse is an Adderall type medication. My next recommendation would be something like Ritalin LA or Concerta.
