No: The classical appearance involves beefy red tonsils.Some may have whitish debris in the crevices of their tonsils but not all.

Not always: There are other criteria for strep. It may be you have a bright red throat with swelling and swelling of your lymph glands. If concerned for strep, be seen and treated.
