It depends : Muscular people have higher creatinine levels. When I was lifting weights semi-seriously, mine ran 1.7 or so. It's fine. Much of the current obsession with minimally increased creatinine levels reflects medico legal concerns that may require adjusting drug doses. If your BUN is up, your urinalysis abnormal, or your ability to concentrate your urine is poor, you might have real kidney disease.
