2 minutes each time.: Washing your hands is much more important to your health, both short term and long term than exposure to the water you are using to rinse off the soap. Use soap that is plain, without antibacterial ingredients like triclosan and without plastic microbeads. That's the safest and healthiest thing to do. If you are obsessing about washing your hands or anxious about these little things see a doctor.
