8 day cycle: Adding up the days it sounds like you have an 8 day cycle. This is not particularly abnormal. There are many options to get shorter, lighter periods if you are not happy with your level of menstrual cycle control. A Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD or other birth control options could be useful to you.
