Acetaminophen: There are some that suggest nothing be given until the actual shots are given but I see no reason to wait.The problem with acetaminophen is its short duration of any effect, at most 4 hours.Ibuprofen is not used until after 6 mo of age due to concerns over potential kidney issues.
