Mgt: Some viral illnesses may causes a prolonged sore throat. If you have fever, chills, swollen nodes, another swab may be sent for testing. In the meantime, throat lozenges and warm liquids can provide relief. If you have a smoking history, then you should also be screened for malignancy.
