Watch: Stool can be colored based on foods we eat and food coloring, however black stool can be concerning in that it can be a sign of bleeding in the intestinal tract. If continues or associated with abdominal pain, lightheadedness, shortness of breath or any other unusual symptoms then see a doctor or ER as soon as possible
