I have 2 kids i went for mirena (levonorgestrel) insertion dr said i have septum so cannot be inserted,do i need a second opinion or is there nothing that can be done?

Options: If the uterine septum is small then an IUD should be able to be inserted. If it is larger then it can be hysteroscopically resected in an outpatient surgery. A sonohystogram or a Hysterosalpingogram are radiologic studies than can be done to help delineate the extent of the septum.
