Likely blood pocket: The fall likely broke a blood vessel & caused some bleeding in the space between the scalp and skull at that location. If the kid is totally asymptomatic, you can probably monitor it at home. If he develops any vomiting or changes his pattern of play, it might be wise to have him seen.
