I've been taking zofran for about 2 years because lexapro (escitalopram) makes me sick. can i stop zofran or do i have to taper off? 4mg 2x's a day. how do i taper?

Anti-depression?: When Zofran (ondansetron) is prescribed for nausea, if the original problem still exists - stopping may bring a rebound. Other than that, it does not have withdrawal issues so you need not taer. Still, please consider telling the Dr who prescribed it and work together on this. They'd maybe be happy to hear you no longer feel like you need it.

Lexapro (escitalopram) : Should be tapered to minimize withdrawal symptoms. Sometimes switching to low dose Prozac (fluoxetine) helps with the discontinuation symptoms. Any change in antidepressant therapy should've done under physician supervision.
