Dysphagia : Swallowing difficulties can be due to a lot of things. I would not just assume that it is your thyroid causing your problem. You should be seen by an ENT doctor to obtain a complete history, physical, fiber-optic laryngoscopy, and other indicated studies to assess your swallowing difficulty.
