Barrier cream: Always use barrier cream or ointment with each diaper change. Baby's get diaper rash because their skin comes into contact with their urine and feces. If you form a barrier on their skin, this helps prevent rash. Examples include vaseline, aquaphor, desitin, (zinc oxide diaper cream) bag balm, etc.
