Happens: Funny enough, after a significant amount of sun exposure, I developed the same sensation on my right upper lip 2-3 weeks ago. Now I am of Latin-American origin, so my skin tolerates sun better than Caucasian skin, but sun damage, stress, dryness can all contribute to these areas of burning on your lip
