Hepatic parenchyma: This is a term used to describe the tissue of the liver. It helps distinguish between different parts of the liver such as the liver capsule, the blood vessels, and the parenchyma. The parenchyma is where you liver performs it's metabolism, such as storing energy, releasing energy, or eliminating waste from the blood.
