Postoperative pain: I am sorry you are having pain. Unfortunately one of the risks of surgery is postoperative pain. Either pain that has not resolved after surgery to treat the hernia, or new pain that was not present before hernia surgery. Your surgeon will want to know that you are having pain, and he may try to treat this pain with pain medications or an injection. Your surgeon would want to know and to help you.
