Time, not vitamin: If you had an eye infection and the eyelids were swollen, it can take time for the swelling to resolve. In some people the swelling is there for a long time, and gravity can make the fluid settle in pockets beneath the eyes. Cool compresses and keeping the head elevated some while sleeping can speed recovery. If the infection is not fully treated, chronic inflammation can make the swelling go on.
