A section of my left eye is red for the past few days. could this be a side effect of taking the antibiotic cipro (ciprofloxacin)?

Probably not: i suspect you are describing a subconjunctival hemorrhage on your left eye, which can happen spontaneously. It's difficult to say without seeing it. If there is mucous or discharge coming from your eye, you should see your Dr. If it is a subconjunctival hemorrhage it will go away on it's own in about 10 days.

Red eye : Not enough input to answer. Do you have symptoms like itching, drain, pain, vision loss or swelling lids, etc. picture would tell a lot in case if there is style.
