Its " overkill": If you have respiratory bacterial infection as a Strep throat 99% Strep group A.. best treated by Penicillin like antibiotics ( Amox..), but bronchitis is 99 % Viral and does NOT need antibiotics... UNLESS special circumstances .. History COPD, imunosupression , HIV... BUT in general Cipro (ciprofloxacin) may be redundant!
