How many weeks with a disc/sciatica injury and pain before i should start to worry that it is taking too long to improve?

It depends: Lumbar, Cervical? Depends severity of your symptoms, whether you have weakness on physical exam, the duration of your symptoms. If you had symptoms and got pain meds/muscle relaxants and followed up at one month and still had symptoms, did you get an MRI? Do you have stenosis? Still Weakness? 37yo F- low back pain, L sciatica, Low back hurts to press on it. GP sent for X-ray-shows lumbar facet degenerative change, mild facet hypertrophy, mild levoscoliosis, and probably mild disc narrowing at L5-S1. Is this anything to worry about?
