I am on .5 mg of xanax (alprazolam) 2x per day. i'd like to taper off. i'm thinking .75 per day for 7 days, then .5 per day for 7-10 days and then .25. seem ok?

Taper: That's a good start. however, everyone is an individual. it might take longer depending on how long you have been taking the Xanax (alprazolam). I applaud your effort to taper off. I would also advise you contact the physician who is prescribing the Xanax (alprazolam) of your intentions. good luck.
