Need more info: B12 deficiency is divided into 2 categories: malabsorption or reduced intake. Reduced intake is a nutrition issue and can be fixed with better eating habits and/or oral B12 supplement. Malabsorption can be caused by certain diseases, like celiac disease, and/or medication effects. Your doctor should have looked at the above reasons and determined the cause of your low B12 and came up with a plan.
