Yes: You can likely extend your cycle somewhat by replacing the old ring with a new one without stopping for a week, but you may have some spotting. It's worth a try.

Yes: If someone with the nuva ring wants to delay the period you can leave the nuva ring in for 4 weeks, then take it out and put a new one in the same day. The only side effect you might notice is spotting.
