Peripheral neuritis: You are describing the symptoms of someone who has irritation of the sensory nerve endings. This may be related to diet, use of alcohol, drugs or withdrawal from them or skin irritants like chlorine. Patients with dermatitis will sometimes complain of this type of skin irritation.
