What could this sharp pain in my ribs be?been suffering abdominal pain for months.could they be related?seen the gp thrice.the dr say reflux/anxiety.

Gastroenterologist: If you're experiencing persistent abdominal discomfort for months, it is best to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. Sharp, fleeting pains in the rib cage, if always occurring at the same site without a cough, are often due to pinching of intercostal nerve or muscle which run between two ribs. Often a deep breath brings on the pain. These are more of a nuisance. Let the MD know
