Have doc take a look: Medicine is both an art and a science, shortcuts don't usually work. It's not often possible to say with certainty what is causing a problem without 1) seeing it and b) taking a history of the illness. In addition, sometimes testing is needed. I wish that technology for distance diagnosis was better than it is, but for now seeing a doctor in person will help you the most. Hope you're better soon!
