Yes: A fatty liver develops from either too much alcohol or in taking the wrong kinds of fats. It causes a cirrhosis of the liver which is bad for you. You should work with your doctor to get rid of all the causes in your diet of a fatty liver and monitor your lipid panel and your lliver panel on a regular basis.

Fatty liver dangers: Absolutely! It can be caused by a variety of things but each can cause cellular damage to the liver, then fibrosis, then even cirrhosis and liver failure. Obesity, pre diabetes and type 2 diabetes are causing non alcoholic fatty liver at an alarming rate, even in young kids. Prevention, early detection and treatment are key.
