After your: gallbladder is removed it's "storage" capacity for BILE manufactured by your liver is missing (thus the light colored stools/diarrhea/cramps ) After a while the liver ducts enlarge to make up at least in part for this storage space and your bowels will normalize! Hope this helps! Dr Z
