Alcohol and fat: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, Intake of alcohol and fatty infiltration of liver are among the causes of elevated liver enzymes. If the scan does not resolve the matter, you may need a liver biopsy.

Fatty Liver: Liver is the main organ that gets all of the blood supply to remove nutrients and also process unwanted food and send it via bowels or kidney. If there is elevation and no evidence of infection or autoimmunity it may be and fatty liver which comes from our modern diet of processed foods and sugary diet.
