2 viruses: A person can catch 2 viral illnesses at the same time. Having cold symptoms (upper respiratory infection) and having stomach flu symptoms (gastroenteritis) can be from 1 virus or from 2 different viruses. Catching 2 viruses will make a person feel sicker, but is not necessarily a "dangerous combination", because many patients have mild symptoms.

Multiple Virus: Yes, you certainly can be infected with multiple viral infections at once. Whether or not it is dangerous depends on the specific viral infections. Generally, a cold and gastrointestinal virus at the same time are not dangerous. They are however, very uncomfortable for the person who has them at the same time. The biggest threat is dehydration. Seek care if that is occurring.
