Variety of foods: 9 months of age is a time where you can introduce just about any food that you'd like to (except for whole milk which is usually recommended at age 1 year). I would defer from anything that is too small and round (like a peanut, of course) but as far as the exact food choice, this is a great period to explore and expand. Just go slowly and introduce one food at time to see if there is a reaction.
