Diet and exercise.: In general, cardiovascular exercise on most days of the week, choose natural foods low in fat and cholesterol, limit sodium to 2000mg daily, shoot for 35 grams of fiber daily. Focus on lean proteins (nothing fried), fruits, vegetables, whole grain breads and cereals. Fish (grilled, baked, broiled) will help lower cholesterol and raise the good HDL cholesterol, which helps those with high BP.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
