Yes and no: 15 or so yrs ago a researcher reported that Proscar (finasteride) may help prevent ca prostate. Much controversy occurred. Since then many reports have said yes and no. But most seem to believe Proscar (finasteride) could have a good effect on preventing prostate cancer. The good part is, it seems to do no harm except reducing the amount of semen at ejaculation time, which females seem to appreciate .
