Infection: Following an intestinal infection it is not unusual to develop an irritable bowel syndrome which can manifest itself as abdominal discomfort, diarrhea and/or constipation. Green stool is nonspecific. If you have continual diarrhea continued parasitic infection must be checked for. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you.
