Cancer unlikely: It is highly unlikely that you have cancer. The "lumps" are likely to be lobules of breast glands. Montgomery glands occur only around the areola. You may consult this site for information. http://www.webmd.com/breast-cancer/guide/breast-cancer-normal-breast Wish you good health!

Depends on location.: Montgomery glands are located around the nipple in the areola. Bumps on the skin of the breast might be cysts in the dermal layer. If the lumps are deeper, they could be "fibrocystic change", which tends to be painful with the menstrual cycle. It's best to be seen by your doctor to be sure. But chances are it's NOT cancer, so you don't have to be scared or worried right now.
