No and Yes: Though asmanex and flovent are both steroids (cortisone) they do differ in strength. . This does not necessarily make one better than the other. Both agents are designed to get into the lungs to reduce inflammation. Remember, this type of "controller" must be used regularly- not like your "rescue inhaler" which is used only when you are having an attack.
