Unlikely: Intermittent mild abdominal discomfort in the absence of other symptoms like fever, nausea, vomiting, or blood in stool is unlikely to be worrisome. Often such symptoms are related to constipation or a change in diet. If focal discomfort persists for more than 1-2 weeks, increases in severity or is associated with other symptoms, medical evaluation is warranted.
