I am 34 and i have an inguinal hernia on my left pelvic area, but no pain or discomfort at all, just a noticeable bulge. can i live with this? thanks

Yes I have one too: Inguinal hernias are classified as direct or indirect. They can be congenital or acquired with straining. They can produce pain with standing straining and produce a bulge on one or both groin areas. Over time they can enlarge and descend into the scrotum. They can occasionally "pop out" and produce a painful bulge which means they are requiring repair. Hernias can be fixed as an out patient.
